How do I save NEF file to JPEG?

This is my first time shooting in RAW with my NIKON 5600. I downloaded two images to PSE 2022, successfully navigated the sophisticated edits (hurray!) and clicked "done".  However, I can't figure out how to save the images as JPEG. Looked all over.

Thanks in advance,

Diane

Clicking 'Done' saves your edit settings (the sliders settings) in a tiny text file with an .xmp extension. You have only saved the 'recipe', not the result of those edits.

Instead of clicking 'Done', use 'Open' which opens the restulting  image in the normal pixel editor, where you can save, print and use your usual tools.

Click the 'help' icon in the left bottom corner for basic help.
