Question

How to install my former pse folders?

I had pse 11 presently installed on my desktop.  When I installed pse 2018 the program had a box that asked if I wanted to upload my pse 11 folders or load in bulk.  I am not sure if I remember the correct wording.  Anyway, I had to leave my computer at that point and when I came back that screen was closed.  Now I want to continue to have those choices again but cannot find the original page.  How can I get my pse 11 folders updated into pse 2018?

Let's be clear: you don't  'upload' your files or folders, you 'import' them in your catalog. No file or folders are copied.

Uploading means copying your files and folders from your camera or card reader. The files are copied on your computer where you tell them to go (by default in the 'My Pictures' folder).

Importing (I don't like the word, I would prefer Referencing or Indexing) means reading the photo file and writing the info about the file in a catalog: location of the file in your computer, drive and folder tree: the exif data from your camera, the tags and captions you have assigned to that file. You Import from 'files or folders'. Importing from card reader or camera means first 'uploading', then 'indexing' in the catalog.

So, just use the 'Import' button and choose the desired action.
