how to upgrade elements to 2022 and is it free

After much searching I cannot find an answer to this .  I have photoshop elements 2021.  How do I get elements 2022.  Is it a free update or do I have to pay - if so, are there black friday deals for the update?

The update to PSE 2022 is not free. You'll have to pay. But, Adobe has PSE 2022 on sale now.

PSE 2021 and PSE 2022 are separate programs and can both be installed on the same computer at the same time, so it is not an update.
