I bought the wrong product

My trusty laptop decided to die last week and I purchased a new PC from PC World. I had been running Photoshop Elements 4 for a very long time and decided that I needed to upgrade to a more up to date version.

I therefore asked for Photoshop Elements in the same shop (PC World) and came home to install it. I entered the redemption code to register the programme and attempted to download it. As the estimated download time was 8 hours, I left it to download overnight. I then received the message that it had failed to install. It was only then that I realised that I had, despite asking for Photoshop Elements, been sold Adobe Premiere Elements for which I have no use for at all.

I returned to PC World and the team leader was prepared to swap the purchase. He tried but said that he was unable to do this as he could not void the original purchase and advised that I needed to contact Adobe instead.

I have since downloaded a trial version of Photoshop Elements and would like to change the programme purchased from Adobe Premiere Elements to Photoshop Elements.

Please advise

There is nothing Adobe can do if you purchased from a re-seller. PC world must swap the product in accordance with their returns policy, usually 21 days from delivery/purchase for un-opened products and 14 days from the date of purchase or requesting a return for products opened for inspection.
