Installing elements 15 with a serial number

i down loaded elements 15 from adobe.  i tried to install the software and at the end it's requesting a redemption codveto activate the software .  The down load from abode only supplis a serial number I spoke to support and I was given what they said was a web address that requires a serial number to activate . But at the end of that  installation it required a redemption code

The redemption code and the serial number are enter in the same spot.   But the software doesn't indicate that

I'm not sure what you mean by that.

After installing the software a box come up indicating  you had to insert a redemption code to activate the software .

not having a redemption code only a serial number, I was unsure what to do.  that box shouled of  requested either a redemption code or serial number. To activate elements 15.
