lost computer and all info in house fire ...now what?

I purchased photoshop elements 9 and it was installed on my desktop. Lost the desktop and all info in a house fire.

Anything I can do?

You may be able to download it from your Adobe account if you registered it, but it may not run on current Windows operating systems and certainly not on a new Mac.

If you lose something in a fire, perhaps you can claim for it under your insurance. People think of this for computers, but I don't hear much from people trying it for lost software. (They may just ask why you didn't have a backup; they might also look at the current value of ancient software rather than replacement value). Still, could be worth a try.
