Massive problems with Photoshop Elements 2020

As a long time user of Adobe Photoshop Elemenst (last version was Elements 15) I purchased a license for Elementss 2020.

To shorten the wait, I installed (or tried to) the software on my Imac and my MacBook Pro

IMac (2017, 16 GB Ram 1 TB SSD)

I can install Eleents, but organizier consistently crashes upon start. Someimes it asks me to chose a differend catalogue. Then it crashes and I receive an Apple Error Log

MacBook Pro (2015, 8 GB Ram, 250 GB SSD, 50% free)

I am not able to install the software. Tried it with the installer and downloaded the full package.

Every time I trie to install, I key in my Adobe login. Then error message "Error 1, unspezified Error"

What to do? Besides returning the software.

Very disappointing. Never had any issues before.

I'm having all kinds of problems with Photoshop Elements 2020 too, but I'm on a PC. I will start a different thread. Just wanted to let you know it's not confined to Mac machines.
