Microsoft surface pen draws in wrong spot?

I keep trying to draw on photoshop, only for my stylus (microsoft surface pen) to draw in the wrong spot. for example if i point directly at the center i see nothing, but once i move to the upper left corner, the lines i draw there, show up down on the right side, or center right as i move further, why wont it do what i want in the exact spot? its the only app acting this way...
