I have put  new ICC profile for my printer on my computer but Elements does not see it when I try to print. Any suggestions?

    Online help:

    Print photos in Photoshop Elements

In which folder did you put the ICC profile?

Particularly see the 'options' for color management in the above link.

    Which printer and paper type?

The profile ended up in the folder that should be read by Elements/Photoshop - C:\Windows\sysytem32\spool\drivers\color. The printer is an Epson Stylus Photo R1800 and the paper Ilford Galerie Prestige Smooth Gloss

I renamed the ICC file Ilford Galerie smooth Gloss but this does not appear in the drop down box

I just tried to download the ICC profile from the Ilford site. I could not find an ICC profile matching both the paper type and your Epson model. When trying to get another existing random profile, I got a zip file "000-zipped-...." which I unzipped on my computer. I did right click on the .ICC file and chose to let Windows install the profile. It now appears in my drop-down list of profiles.

    Just a guess:

You may have downloaded the zip for installing instructions instead of the missing ICC profile for your combination of paper and printer.

I would ask for help on the Ilford forum.
