New layers

Good morning,

I am new to Adobe Elements 15 & I cannot fathom how to create layers in the layers panel which refer to an individual image. I have a book Dummies & still cannot see the solution.

I wish to use several images to compile one new image through the concept of layering & eradicating. How do I get all the images in the Layers Panel?

Please can anyone help this Dummy?

    Try using the menu:

    File >> Place

    Then navigate to a file and choose it. A new layer should be created automatically.

    Click the layers button or choose:

    Window >> Layers

    Photos are placed in the centre; so choose the move tool to position and the corner or side handles of the bounding box to scale.

    Glad to help. If you want to create a blank layer e.g. for painting or drawing on with a brush, pencil tool etc simply go to the menu and Click:

    Layer >> New >> Layer >> OK

    You can keep adding as many as you wish.
