old copy of photoshop elements 8

have an old copy of Photoshop Elements 8 including installation key on a CD and have just purchased a Microsoft Surface Pro7 without an optical drive. Can I install this program off of Adobe's site and use my existing key to activate it? or is there some other method you can suggest.

Photoshop Elements Version 8 is compatible up to Windows SP / Vista /7.
Installation on Windows 10 is at your own risk.
