Question

Opening existing files

I have just upgraded to Photoshop Elements 15.  I am used to being able to right click on the file and being able to open the file by using the "open using" option.  This does not work when using Photoshop Elements for some reason; all it does is open Photoshop Elements with a blank screen - so I have to then use the Open option within the Programme.

Any Ideas please?

Which OS are you working on?

Did you purchase Photoshop Elements from MAC or Windows App Store?

Also, is this issue happening for all the file formats or for some specific files?

    Thanks,

I am on Windows 10 and downloaded the programme direct from the Adobe "shop".  I have had the fault with .jpeg / .png / .bmp / .tif

    Thanks

Make sure you are selecting the editor application.

Right-click on an image and choose:

Open with >> Choose another app

Select Photoshop Elements 15 Editor – see image below

You may need to drag the scroll bar to see the full list. If you still can’t find the Editor click More apps

If necessary click: Look for another app on this PC

    Then navigate to:

    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 15

    Select: PhotoshopElementsEditor

    Click Open
