I clumsily typed a string of characters that resulted in Organizer only showing 25 videos. It's as though I have searched by media type but the search feature shows no active search. I have tried importing all my media files but the import dialog reports that the files are already present. When I use the Search by Calendar feature the icon for January, 2024 indicates 87 files which is right but when I click on it I only retrieve one video file. When I search by Media type - Video I do get 25 matches. When I search Media type - Photos I get "No media available". There are about 6800 photos. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

Let me add that I have quit and reopened Organizer and also restarted the computer and the problem persists.

OK. I created a new catalog and imported 6904 files. Organizer showed them all. I selected one photo and enlarged it to make sure I had more than the thumbnail. All OK. But when I went back to the grid all that showed were my video files. When I search for Media Type - Photos no media are found. I guess it might be time to uninstall/reinstall Photoshop Elements.

I uninstalled Photoshop Elements with the official Adobe Uninstaller App and then reinstalled. Somehow the program was aware of the the catalogs I had previously created and with them my problem persists. Organizer shows only my video files. I create new catalog, import 6904 files. Initial Organizer grid shows them all. All seems to be well. I select a photo and double click on it. Try to open Editor and while I am locating my serial no. I get an error message from Organizer - Sorry an error occurred. When I reopen Organizer my problem is back. Only videos are shown.

I created a new mini catalog with two photos in it. At first all is well. But when I return to grid -- nothing. Web search found: "Also, in View -> Media Type, Please check all the options."
PHOTOS IS UNCHECKED! I don't know why, but checking it fixes problem --- for now.
