PDF open or not

can someone please tell me if I can open and edit a PDF in Photoshop Elements?  This is the only reason I bought it and now I'm thinking this was a mistake.

    You can open in the Editor (Expert Mode)

    File >> Open

    Each page of the PDF will create a separate document. The first (thumbnail) is usually highlighted and if you hold down shift and click the last, they will all open in tabs.
