Neither of the options that you have given me to correct the problem have worked.

    1. Have resent, shut down and reopened - nothing.

    2. Not sure where the "Reset Tool" is and tried to do it via Windows Tools and nothing happened there.

It is now 9:33 a.m. do I have to wait another 24 hours before I get another response?

Here is the above explanation once again.

    1) Go to the expert mode (shown in the below picture as 1)

    2) Choose the text tool (Shown in below picture as 2)

    3) Click on the menu button (Shown in below picture as 3)

    4) Once you click on the menu, menu should show 3 options. Please click on Reset All Tools.

    5) Re-launch the Photoshop Elements and try using the text tool again to see if that has worked for you.

I was informed on Monday that the problem that I was having with Abobe

Photoshop was being referred to the next person up the line and am

wondering what is the status of this.  This problem has been going on for

    over three weeks now.

Name, telephone number, & e-mail removed.

Try resetting the tools and/or preferences:

    Restore default preferences

Preference settings control how Photoshop Elements Editor displays images, cursors, and transparencies, saves files, uses plug‑ins and scratch disks, and so on. If the application exhibits unexpected behavior, the preferences file could be damaged. You can restore all preferences to their defaults.

Note: Deleting the preferences file is an action that cannot be undone.

    Do one of the following:

    • Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Mac: Option+Command+Shift) immediately after Photoshop Elements begins launching. Click Yes to delete the Adobe Photoshop Elements settings file.
    • Go to Edit > Preferences (Mac: Photoshop Elements > Preferences > General), click the Reset Preferences on next launch button, and then click OK. When you restart Adobe Photoshop Elements, all preferences are reset to default settings.

A new preferences file is created the next time you start Photoshop Elements Editor. For information on a specific preference option, search for the preference name in Help.

Under GO to Edit - there is NO Resent Preference listed

Have also tried pressing Alt+Control +Shift and nothing happens.
