photoshop 14 freezing up

I have Windows 10, I have Adobe Photoshop 14 I bring up Editor and bring my pictures into it and it instantly freezes.. can't do anything at all... have to shut the program down.. re bring it up and same thing happens...

anyone help me please? I have DT work to get done and can't get this to work at all ...

    Two ideas that MAY work to install and/or run old programs in Windows 10

    -RIGHT click the program icon or EXE and select a compatibility mode in the pop up option window

    -or Run as Administrator http://forums.adobe.com/thread/969395 to assign FULL Windows permissions may help... says Encore, but sometimes required for ALL Adobe programs (this is NOT the same as using an Administrator account)

    thank you... had to have it reset the settings.. not sure why the program can't run with Windows 10 settings
