I bought a packaged copy of Photoshop Elements 11 when it was new, installed it, and used it successfully for years until a few weeks ago when it crashed and a pop-up told me the program had been corrupted and needed to be reinstalled.
I've now reinstalled it several times -- first from the DVD that came in the package and just yesterday from a file that an Adobe chat support agent pointed me to for downloading -- and, when I go to launch it I'm asked to enter the product serial number, which the program seems to accept ...
[Mod: screenshot edited to blur serial number]
... but when I click CONTINUE I'm sent back to the previous screen, where I'm asked again to accept Adobe's terms and conditions.
From there it's an infinite loop. Go to the screen above, reenter my serial number, get sent back to the Adobe terms and conditions screen, and so on. Launching the software is now impossible.
Anybody have any ideas on how to solve this problem?
Thanks everyone!

My first thoughts are - please edit your posting to remove your screenshot as you are publicising your serial number to the world.
I will have additional thoughts in a minute

Hi,
Since my last posting, I have successfully uninstalled/re-installed PSE 11 twice.
Which operating system are you running on?
Do I take it that you installed as a trial version and then tried to convert it to a paid up one?
I tried installing PSE 11 as a trial version and that was successful. I then loaded the editor and it gave me the option to enter a serial number which I did and then the editor opens.
The normal place to download from is in this list
Download Photoshop Elements 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, and 7

I'd gladly delete the screenshot but I'll be damned if I can figure out how to edit a post that's already been put up.
I'm running Windows 7.
No, I didn't install a trial version -- at least that was never my intention As I explained at the beginning of my post, I bought a packaged copy of Photoshop Elements 11 when it was new and installed it. When I was warned that the installed copy was corrupted and needed to be reinstalled, I first uninstalled the corrupted copy and then reinstalled it from the DVD. In every instance when I've failed to get a usable install I've deleted it before trying to reinstall it.
Is there a way to install it -- either from the disc or from the download section -- which avoids the Trial screen? Yes, I downloaded Elements 11 from the Adobe website. As I also explained in my original post, an Adobe chat support agent pointed me to it.

Hi,
I thought you had installed the trial version because it said so in your screenshot.
If you download the two files from the link given above, you should be able to install using them.
1. Download the two files to the same folder
2. Double click on the .exe file - that should then extract the data it needs to another folder
3. When the extraction is complete, you should be able to start the install
4. After the language option, a few screens and the Terms & conditions screen you should get this screen

5. Select your country/Region from the dropdown list and enter your serial number
[Note: The region and serial number are tied together so you must enter the correct serial number for the region]
6. After clicking on next, the installation should start.
I am running on Windows 10 so please let me know if you see any difference to the above.
Good luck
Brian

I've been through the procedure you outline and I'm afraid it doesn't help. When I'm finished and try to launch the program I see this screen:
When I click the ACCEPT button the Elements 11 Organizer pop-up window disappears for a moment and then reappears. It doesn't matter how many times I click ACCEPT -- it keeps coming back. I can go no further.

Hi,
It maybe that your preferences have been corrupted and you need to delete them.
When you uninstall, you should see an option to remove your preferences - have you tried checking that?
Try updating the Application Man

oh dear, I have the exact same problem and keep seeing the above request over and over again, no matter which answer I give. I had to have my windows 7 reinstalled recently and it all worked just fine before but no longer. Please does someone have an answer?
thanks
