Question

PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 13 SUDDENLY WON'T ACTIVATE

I have a refurbished MacBook Pro late 2011 OS 10.11 El Capitan running Photoshop Elements 13. This is the third machine I've loaded my Photoshop Elements 13 onto, copied from the old hardrive. Each previous machine died with  a graphics card failure. Each time I've activated the replacement machine with the serial number. This time it activated  perfectly for about 3 days and then suddenly the Editor stopped and would not activate.  Yet, the Organizer still works! Editor says I'm not connected to the internet when I am. It says to generate a response code. It sends the code but then says it is not valid.  Cannot get help from Photoshop nor a new activation number or code.

I have the original serial number. I sounds like Elements thinks it is installed on too many machines but I can't deactive the old machines as they are fried and recycled. I am in a catch 22 and would appreciated any help.

Thank you.

If you used Time Machine, uninstall, use the Cleaner Tool, and then install using your installation media:

The offlne activation was shut down and no longer works.

If you need your activations reset, please go to Adobe Customer Service (make sure to sign in to your Adobe account first and allow popups on your browser) and only ask to have your activations reset:
https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen will automatically open the chat window.
Type "Agent" in the chat box to bypass the chatbot and be connected to a person.

You may also be able to contact Adobe by phone:

Hi, I have identical problem with both Photoshop Elements 14 and Premiere Elements 14.

The trick with "Agent" did not work. The chatbot informed me that "We didn't find a supported product in your account. For free products or older versions, ask our community at https://adobe.com/go/community-jarvis

Did you register it?

Of course, Peru Bob!
Both Photoshop and Premiere Elements have been registered since Nov 2015 and, according to the info on the Products page in my Adobe account, they still are:

Both programs work fine on my old computer (despite 'deregistering' that computer), but I cannot activate them on the new one.
I wold very much appreciate our help.
Cheers,
Ben
