Photoshop Elements 15 - import crashes all the time

Hi

I have a Win10 machine and just purchased Photoshop Elements 15 to replace Picasa.

I am unable to bulk import photos to Elements and even have problems importing each folder individually. The program regularly freezes and crashes, and flags many files as 'damaged'. (No other program has issues with these flagged files - even MS word can open them.) The important process is almost unusable - it is extremely frustrating and disappointing.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Can you please confirm if the batch of files you are trying to import have some video files as well?

    If yes, please try skipping videos while importing media and see if EO still crashes.
