Photoshop Elements 15 won't launch after high sierra upgrade

I just upgraded my mac to high sierra and now when I try to open Photoshop Elements 15, the dock icon bounces a bit, then just disappears. The firs time I opened, the Photoshop intro window did appear and I was able to open Organizer but not Editor. Now, I get nothing. Thought about uninstalling and then downloading again and reinstalling, but when I log in to Adobe, I get "there was an error loading your downloads" on my product page! If I can't fix this, do I have to just spend the $80 to upgrade to Elements 2018?!!!

Try trashing the saved prefs.

Quit Elements (if running)

Launch Finder and go to your user Library

Hold down Alt and on the menu click Go to choose Library

Go to preferences and trash the following files & folders:

com.adobe.PhotoshopElements.plist

Adobe Photoshop Elements 15 Paths

Adobe Photoshop Elements 15 Settings

com.Adobe.Elements Organizer.15.0.plist

com.adobe.ElementsOrganizer15.plist

Re-launch Elements

N.B. Apple hides the user Library which will appear automatically in the Go menu when holding down the Option (Alt) key.

Tried all that. Didn't work 😞  I actually couldn't find anything with the .plist but trashed all the others. The only thing that changed was that the Elements Icon bounced a few more seconds in the dock before disappearing.
