photoshop elements 15 wont read camera raw files even with update

Question

I just bought a Canon 6D mark II camera and although it is suppose to be accepted with elements, especially because my updates are all up to date, it keeps saying I still need an update. I tried downloading an adobe dng converter but that didn't do anything. I shouldn't have to even convert anything and I'm at a loss as to what to do. Can someone please help me figure out how to open my photos in camera raw so I can edit them?? Thank you

The canon 6D Mk II needs ACR 9.12. Elements 15 shiped with ACR 9.6 and is compatible with ACR through v9.10. You'll need to upgrade your PSE or use the DNG converter.
