Photoshop Elements 19 - 4gb ram

My previous version stopped working after the Windows 10 update. I think this was because I only have 4gb ram - does 19 work with only 4gb ?

Which older version and could you describe how "it stopped working after the Windows 10 update'?

My guess is that you had the issue created with the 1803 Windows 10 version.

You have to know that this bug is solved in PSE2019 without having to edit the Windows registry, but:

However, while the minimum RAM requirements is still 4 GB, the 'recommended' size is 8 GB.

I have two computers with PSE2019. My present one has 8 GB, and both editor and organizer run as expected, while the other one with only 6 GB runs slowly. People with stronger hardware config are reporting that there is better speed than before. I think that PSE2019 will run with 4 GB, but really slow, and may be limited for certain actions, especially if you want to use face recognition and automatic features.

Suggest that you try the free 30-day trial of PSE to be sure that it works properly on your machine. If everything is ok, you can purchase the license subsequently.
