Photoshop Elements 2018 and RW2 File (.RW2)

Hi All,

I recently purchased the Panasonic Lumix FZ1000 and the raw files are proving a problem for me, what i would like to know from anyone who can help me is, does the new Photoshop Elements 2018 support these files, i use standalone PS elements 11 and LR 6

Cameras supported by Camera Raw

The FZ1000 was first supported in Camera Raw 8.6 (the plugin used by Photoshop to open Raw files) and Lightroom 5.6.

So LR6 will open and import those Raw files.

Elements 11 (PSE 11) is a different story.

The Camera Raw 8.6 plugin is only compatible with Elements 13 and later. So PSE11 will never be able to open those FZ1000 Raw files. It's simply too old and outdated. Elements 2018 can open FZ1000 Raw files.

    Hi John

    I just imported a test shot to lightroom 6 there and as soon as i go to develop the whole programme  shuts down

    Can you upload a sample photo to Dropbox or similar and post a link here?

    I can then download it and test it on my Mac.

    I tried the elements 2018 it uploads fine but i don't like  the 2018. I have decided to sell the panasonic and take it from there, i want to thank you ever so much for all your efforts,
