Photoshop Elements 2018 crashes when trying to create slideshow

Trying to create a slideshow for the first time. Do not have a large number of photos in the organizer, maybe 2-300 or so.  Preview does not generate anything then when I try to navigate back, the program crashes.  Only tried to create the slideshow with like 10 photos. No videos.  Text from error report below.  PC is core i5-2600 with 8G ram Windows 10 64bit.  Lenovo.
