Photoshop Elements 9 Problems on a new Windows 10 pc

Hello all

I just installed PSE 9 on a brand new Windows 10 pc.  I cannot open Raw files, I receive an error message indicating the file is the incorrect type of file.  I tried to update using Help - Update, but received error message saying updates didn't work, need to quit and try again later. I am also unable to register the product, error message simply says "Unable to perform this action", or something similar.  Internet connection is working fine. Three reboots later, still receiving this error message when trying to update PSE.  I've been using this same software successfully on an older pc, no problems.  I can open and edit raw files just fine on older pc.  Any suggestions please?  Thank you.

Thank you for your help.  I was able to download the camera raw update successfully, however, now once I have opened a raw file, there

is no option on the camera raw screen to open it in Elements.  The older version of Camera Raw has 3 options buttons in the lower right

hand portion of the screen:  Done, Cancel, Open Image.  These options do not appear in the new update, so it's basically useless as far

as proceeding into Elements for further editing.  Any ideas?   Thank you.

It sounds like the bottom of the camera raw dialog is just not showing.

What screen resolution are you running?

When you open a camera raw file into the camera raw dialog, does it make any difference if you press the F key to make the camera raw dialog full screen?


Yes, thank you. The buttons were hidden by the taskbar. Still learning Windows 10. I appreciate all your help!
