Pictures from Organizer to Editor

I import pictures from my Computer to Elements Organizer 14 which works. When I try to take pictures from the Organizer to Editor, the pictures disappear, & they are replaced in the Organizer with a grey background with a question mark. The picture that was in that spot disappears and never goes to Editor. What am I doing wrong, & how do I get the pictures back?

    Hi Neil,

    Request you to please try the following steps and respond to me with your findings:

    1. Select one such photo which you say "are replaced in the Organizer with a grey background with a question mark".
    2. Open the right panel in Organizer. Go to Information tab in it.
    3. Under General accordion, click on the Location field.

    Here, do you see the file opening in File explorer?

    • If yes, is it displaying correctly in file explorer? If yes, then come to Organizer, right click this file and select update thumbnail. See if it sets that right.
    • If no, do you get any Files missing dialog?
