printing 4 pictures on 1 piece of paper

I have been using elements 1. Yes, 1. The photomerge on it could be used to put 4- 4x5 pictures on one piece of paper to print them on 8.5x11 paper. I am sure this can be done with elements 15 that I just upgraded to but need to figure it out quick. My wife wants pictures printed for tomorrow. Any tips on how to do this with 15. I really don't understand layers yet. Thanks, a 15 beginner

Okay, I did a variation on what Mark suggested.

    1. resize 4 pics to 3.5x5 300 dpi rotated and put in a folder

    2. open photo editor

    3. create blank page 300 dpi 8x10 by using file-new-blank

    4. put the 4 pics in bin

    5. click on blank in bin

    6. drag photos to position using drag tool under select

    7. file- print- select 8x10

    8. change settings

    9. print

    Worked and printed fine. Thanks

Wow, PSE1!  And I thought my PSE2 was old .

Anyway, in my PSE there is a Picture Package option where you can define 4 4x5's to print.

I don't know if PSE15 has such an option (I would hope so).

If not, here is a way to do it.

1 .Create a blank file 8.5 x 11 and with the same resolution (DPI) as your picture.

    2. Open the picture and select it: Select > All.

    3. Copy the selection to the clipboard: Edit > Copy.

    4. Open the blank file and paste from the clipboard (Edit > Paste). This places the picture on a new

    layer.

    5. Using the Move tool, position the picture in one corner.

    6. Duplicate the layer 3 times and position them.

I found print- picture package but it looks nothing like yours. I was able to get 4 photos on a page but that messed up proportions. Only allowed 4 3.5x5. The strange thing is that when I printed the pictures they were muddy. Dark and little contrast. I printed the same pictures with irfanview and they came out fine- but only one at a time. The other process you showed sounds complicated but I will try it later today. Thanks.
