Proper installation for multiple PSE on same PC

New Here ,

Hi,

I already have PSE 8 on my PC and have tagged quite a lot of my photos. I have just purchased PSE and PSP 15 but not yet installed either. Default setings of PSE/PSP 15 installation will direct PSE/PSP 15 to the correct settings to share the data from PSE 8 or do I have to modify the installation?

Thanks.

When you install a new version of Elements together with older versions on the same computer, there is no change in the data (the media files), but there are changes in the format of the catalog (database). When you install PSE or PE, be sure to agree to the dialog in the installation process which prompts you to 'convert' the current catalog. If you miss that oportunity, you can still use the catalog manager to convert any older catalog if you wish. The conversion does not replace the old catalog, it fetches its data and creates a catalog in the new format.

Thank you. I will keep an eye out for that when I install 15 later today.
