PS Elements Problem

When I open a file in Elements, The file opens as a large thumbnail-type image.

I was working with layers yesterday, and now when I bring a file to the workspace to edit, it opens in the left upper corner of the workspace and I have to click on it to get it to fit the workspace screen.
