I use the PSE 12 Organizer, Version 12.1, on a new computer with 5 processor cores, 8 Mb RAM and Windows 10 Home OS. Windows Media Player is installed as well.
Following the instructions for burning a Video CD provided in the PSE Organizer, I created a slide show with 67 slides and custom audio for each slide. Total run time is about 33 minutes. I then tried to burn the slide show to a VCD that would run in a DVD player. But the Organizer only burned a .WMV file that won’t play on a newer DVD player. I searched Adobe PSE Organizer on-line support files for a solution to this problem but found no help there. Is there anyone who can help me?

I no longer have Elements 12 on my machine and don't remember exactly how VCD burning worked in that program. But what I can tell you is that many modern BluRay/DVD players cannot play a VCD. Also, were you attempting to burn the VCD to a DVD disc or a CD disc? If you were trying to burn to a DVD, then only a data file (wmv) of the video was copied to the DVD. It would not create a playable "VCD". While it is technically possible to convert a VCD to a DVD, you need conversion software to do that. I may be wrong but I doubt whether Elements could accomplish that task.
