I am using PSE 18 and cannot open photos in editor from Raw or Organizer without changing to default view manually.  Unable to find a fix in Preferences.  Help!

Hi,

Which operating system are you running on?

Please explain what you think the default view is. Is it in organizer or editor?

What happens when you are not in the default view? Any error message?

Brian

I am using Windows 10.  The default view is a single image displayed center screen in the Editor workspace, with photo info on open images displayed horizontally above.

Hi,

I'm sorry but I am not really sure as to how you are working or what you want to achieve. A fuller description of your workflow might help.

I will have a guess at one thing that you may want to try. In the editor go to Edit -> Preferences -> General, make sure there is a check against Allow floating documents in expert mode and click on OK. Next make sure you are in Expert mode and open an image. Now go to Windows -> Images and select Float In Window or Float all in Windows. This should allow you to open more than one image and move them around. This only works in Expert mode.

Does that help at all?

Brian
