PSE 2020 can't find Canon scanner 9000F

Hi, I have upgraded to PSE 2020 and are using Windows 10, 64bit. After installing PSE 2020 I can't find the scanner when I'm trying to scan using the procedure   Archive>Import> Wia. In the former version of PSE there was a choice   Archive>Import>Canon 9000F  or  Archive>Import>Wia.

Is there a solution for getting the scanner Canon 9000F visible as a choice in PSE 2020?

I'm using the latest drivers from Canon, Scangear 16.0.5

Yes, open Organizer and go to Edit >> Preferences >> Scanner where you should be able to select it.

That only works when a connected scanner is powered on! I have a USB connected scanner that goes to sleep and turns itself off after some period of not being used. I have to power it on again in order for the Organizer to find it.

Have you checked on the Canon web site to be sure that you have the latest driver, and/or have you called Canon support for help?

Is this scanner set as the default device on the computer?

Can you scan with the software that came with the scanner or that you downloaded at time of purchase?

Hi, yes I have checked with Canon. The scanner works with WIA software but I want to use Scangear because it's a much better software than WIA. It was possible in the former PSE 12. It disappeared when I installed PSE 2020. It probably has something to do with the fact that Scangear is TWAIN and not WIA. Maybe there is a fix for that.
