Has it ever worked for you?  I have just noticed that I don't have any Auto Creations either.  I'm wondering whether a recent Windows update has created a problem.

Hello, thanks for the question has PSE 2020 Organizer every completed an
auto-creations pass through my library.
The answer is a tentative yes. tentative because I usually blast past the
welcome screen and its interesting ideas and suggestions, straight into
elements or premiere.

Another puzzling behavior of organizer, I mention now because it might be
connected to the no auto-creation puzzle:
auto-curate recommends with reasonable certainty (60-70%) images that are
in no way co-related to the image on which the curate is comparing and
selecting.

If not mentioned before, the auto-create function is in the background.
Task manager shows it as -0- CPU activity and very little RAM reserved.

I understand the difference between auto create (background process if switched on)

and Auto-Curate

The images selected by auto-curate (with a 60 - 70% certainty) haven't any similarity I can decipher.

[I've just discovered why I didn't have any Auto Creations in my Elements 2020 installation - I had a new blank catalog open.]

If you go to the C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Elements Organizer\18.0\CAHeadless\Creations folder, do you see any sub-folders?  Each one will contain an Auto Creation.  If you sort the Creations folder by Date Modified, you can see when the last one was created.  This may give you a clue as to why you are not seeing any new Auto Creations.

I'm not following what you are saying here.  As I understand it, the algorithms for Auto-Curate are looking for the best quality photos.  Auto-creations use a number of factors that are gleaned from file/folder names, dates of events and keyword tags.  For example, if you have a folder/tag that includes wedding, you may see a slideshow of wedding photos in Auto Creations.
