Hello,

I just upgraded from PSE 2020 to PSE 2022 a few days ago when it was on sale. I just noticed that if you want to change the size of the brush menu by dragging that upper-right corner, you can NOT drag it Up. It will only drag Left, Right, or Down!

It will drag Down till the bottom is below the bottom of the window.

The next time you use a brush, the menu opens in a higher position that it did originally and it's also larger (taller).

In PSE2020, I could drag Up, Left, Right, and Down only to a minimum size.

WOW! Why in the world would they change something that didn't need fixing?

Hmmmm . . . .  I just tested it with Elements 2020, 2021 and 2022, and it looks like this change in behavior occurred in Elements 2021.  However, the position of the dialog is different in all three programs.  I have never seen this mentioned before and I have no idea whether this was changed by design or is just the law of unintended consequences at play.

It is not something of any importance to me, but if you can make a case for going back to the old behavior, I will raise it with Adobe.

Hi Greg,

Since I've been using PSE 2020 for a couple of years, that's the behaviour I'd prefer to have in PSE 2022. In 2020, it always opened in the same position just above the brush picker button. I could easily resize as needed. Some of my brush sets have a LOT of brushes to pick from and a larger menu display made it easier.

This change makes NO sense at all!

With the Brush Tool selected you can right click near the top of your document and that should give you room to resize the window and the size should be kept when you click on the Brush Preset Picker in the tool options.

I do think it's a bug in the program.

I was just giving an alternate way to resize the Brush Picker.

@Jeff Arola, That right-click when a brush tool is active works anywhere on the image. It seems to position the bottom-center of the brush menu. And, it also work in PSE 2020 as well - nice!

Thanks Jeff Arola and KR Ship for the work around.

The problem was Frustrating for me and the solution is Not Intuitive.
Fix the Problem Adobe!
And fix it as soon as possible, not just in the next version.

The fix seems simple, look at code when it worked and use the code for sizing up.

Not fixing bugs can cause Adobe to lose customers.
