PSE- selecting gray with the picker tool, the color comes out yellow

I am selecting gray hues with the eye drop picker and the color is coming out yellow. This just started happening today. I've tried 2 different monitors, so it's a pSE problem. HELP

Go to Image>Mode and be sure that RGB color is checked.

Activate the Eyedropper tool, and on the tool's option bar, look for a box with lines in it, bottom right. Click on it to reset the tool.

If that does not fix it, reset preferences to default. To do that, go to Edit>Preferences>general and look for this:
