PSE upgrade

Hello,

I'm still using Photoshop Elements 6, but I want to buy a newer version. I don't want something that requires a monthly subscription. I have windows 8.1.

What do you recommend and where can I buy/download it?

Photoshop Elements is a one time purchase. No subsciption.

It is problematic that the current version of PSE will function optimally on Windows 8.1. You can try download/install of the free 30-day trial to evaluate it.

I'll try the trial version first and see how it works.

If it doesn't, is there still an older version that I can purchase that will work on win8?

In the first link that I provided only the last two versions of PSE are actively marketed.
