Quick fixes in batch

Hi,

Just upgraded to Photoshop Elements 15.

Is there still a way to do batch editing from the Organizer ?. I have seen the new "Instant fix" functions but the quickfix functions on the right side of the workspace (equivalent to some of functions in the Quick fix mode in the editor) have disapeared from the Instant fix functions.

Example: I used to select a bunch of pictures in the organizer and then run/click on the "red-eye" correction. Same for the "Auto-contrast" function. And then only adjust on a one by one basis the pictures that needed adjustment (and revert to previous version sets if needed and so on).

This seems to be gone. If this is the case, then I think this is a big drawback !

Then the Instant fix opens now a new window, and is therefore not instant any longer.

I liked as well the instant "crop" function ...

Any tips ?

Samuel

    Hi Samuel,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

With new instant fix, you can batch edit photos for all edits except for crop and red eye. But you can switch from multi-image view to single image view and perform these edits on that single photos out of the batch.

For this,  just double click the image you want to crop or set red eye reduction for, which would open it in single image view. Here you would find crop and red eye enabled as these operations make more sense for particular images and not complete batch. And now if you wish to continue processing your batch hereon, just click on the View switcher on the top to go back to multi image view.

Following user guide might help you in understanding the feature better:

Please get back to me in case you have any queries.

    Thanks,

    Arshla

    Samuel,

Please take the time to learn the new 'Instant Fix' feature. It's a huge improvement over previous versions.

Your example: run the red-eye correction (only available if applicable to your selected files), run other global adjustments to your selection and if necessary click on the editor button to open all files and edit them individually as you like in quick, expert or guided mode. The interface is optimized for touch screens.

If you are serious about batch and fast editing, you should also consider using the ACR module even for jpegs.
