"Updates" menu-item greyed out

Hello,

having problems to check for available program updates in my Photoshop Elements 2019 Mac version.

The menu-item in the "help"-menu is greyed out.

What does that mean?

In the previous versions I was at least able to start the application Manager to check for any updates.

New in PSE 2019:

The menu does no longer show the option to update unless an update is available. That is checked when you open the program. Until an update is available, the option is greyed out.
