Re: webp plugin

I have Photoshop Elements 2022 20.0 x64 on OSX 12.5.1

I've downloaded WebPShop_0_4_2_Mac_Universal.zip, unpacked it to get WebPShop.plugin and moved it to Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/CC/File Formats as per instructions; there was previously only one file Camera Raw.plugin in the location. Ran PSE and the .webp format is still not recognized. When I check About Plugin it says I have Camera Raw, Photomerge and Read Watermark so it seems that my PSE is looking in a different place for plugins.

Where might I really have to put WebPShop.plugin to have it recognized??

You want to put the WebPShop.plugin in either

Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/Elements 20

or

Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 2022/Support Files/Plug-Ins

"Use Terminal and copy/paste this:
sudo xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine
Be sure to add a space after the e of ‘quarantine’
Then drag & drop the plug-in onto Terminal"

Thank you, Jeff. I tried the first and got, "WebPShop.plugin can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software" I assume there's some sort of administrator override I have to do, but I have no idea what. I tried Terminal "sudo xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/Elements 20/File Formats/WebPShop.plugin" but all hell breaks loose because Terminal doesn't accept spaces in filenames...

C:/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/CC/File Formats

is a Windows path! There is no such place on your Mac, so I am not sure how you could have moved anything there... But then again, there is no such path on Windows either... where does this C: come from in your instructions??
