Hi! I purchased PE10 and loaded it, using the DVD's, onto my Mac computer which is now so old that it wont run. I registered the serial number at the time I loaded the software.

I have purchased a Windows Laptop that I want to load my software onto, however it has no DVD drive and Im unable to find my version to download. I tried to use the Adode Help service where it asked me to provide the serial number of the product and all I get is a message that the Serial Number is already in use - which I know. Contacting the Help Desk via chat Im told that PE is now 'End-of-Support' and all they wanted to do was sell me a new plan.

Can anyone help me? If my computer wasnt so old that it stopped working, Id still be using the product I purchase - I dont want to pay again!

Please and Thank you in advance.

Did you purchase the Multi Platform license version of pse 10 or just the Mac version?

It should say on your package or if you login to your Adobe account you can download the Windows version

if your license covers it.

This is what Jeff talked about...multiple platform vs just the one. 2023-06-29_050534.png

I have both single and multiple platform licenses: 2023-06-29_051828.png

From reading this I think you are SOL.

"If the customer purchased a boxed product, in the box is a single serial number that will work on either Windows or Mac. There are also discs for each platform in the box."      Dual version licenses mean that you can install the windows OR the MAC version, but not both OS' versions.   The SN will work on one version only not both.

Some people call adobe and give them a sob story- and Adobe will hook them up.  PSE 10 was released 12 years ago, so I'm pretty sure you can forget about using any old version you have- since you changed OS platforms.

For photoshop elements with a multi platform license, the serial works for both Mac and Windows, with

two installs on two different devices activated at the same time are allowed, whether it be two Windows, two

Mac or a combination of one Mac and one Windows.

The agent did not do their job properly. Activation reset is still supported.

Please go back to Adobe Customer Service and only ask to have your activations reset (Make sure to sign in to your Adobe account first and allow popups and cookies on your browser. You may not be able to see the chat window if using a VPN.):
https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen will automatically open the chat window.
Type "Agent" in the chat box to bypass the chatbot and be connected to a person.

If they refuse, ask for a supervisor or try again for a different agent.
