Rounded Rectangle Tool Creates Semi-Transparent Images

I'm using PhotoShop Elements 2021. I've tried using rounded rectangle tool. It started fine as shown in the first picture. However, as long as I hit the check mark, the picture becomes semi-transparent with no rounded-rectangle effect at all (see second picture). Please help!

The solution to the problem is to set the Feathering to 1 px (one) before drawing out the Rounded Rectangle.
