And I'm glad I did. Compatible with Mac OS Monterey! It's a bit more expenisive but works in ways that I learned using Photoshop Elements. Similar enough to not have a big learning curve which I was trying to avoid. Mainly I'm a writer but often include images and graphics in my articles or essays.
Things you don't need to worry about anymore: downloaded templates not really working....... a brush size max of 2500 (it's 5000 in PS), downloaded actions not working.....not being able to record your own actions....... It is a great tool, but for the average consumer I think it's overwhelming - in particular the moms and pops that simply want to touch up some family photos, make a simple side show, or make some photo collages...
