Today: update to ACR 10.3 for PSE 2018 Canon EOS RP

Have ACR 11.1 in PSE2018 and purchased PSE2019 which installed with ACR 11.1 however I still can't open CR3 files from Canon RP on my Mac 10.13.6.

Get a message in both PSE2018 and PSE2019 that the file can't be open as it "does not recognize this type of file".

Any suggestions?

I have a support case open now for this issue. They confirmed that Elements 19 does not accept ACR 11.2.1. They would not say if/when it would be supported. I then received an automated email from support that sent me to the forums to resolve my issue.

Use DNG batch conversion on a temporary basis. DNG is the Adobe raw format so there is no loss of quality. I use it all the time as it gives a more compact file compared with my CR2 files and no need for sidecar files.

The acr 11.2.1 update was an extra dot release to correct a specific Lightroom bug with images in NAS storage. So it may be a while before Elements gets updated with the next regular acr release.
