Question

transferring Adobe Photoshop Album to Elements

My current Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0 needs drastic update and I am looking at Elements.  Will Elements allow me to transfer my photos retaining the categories and arrangements I currently have or will I have to reorganize 3000 photos in the new program?

Boy, this is a very unique question. Photoshop Album 2 was integrated into the Editor to form Photoshop Elements 3 well over 10 years ago. As you probably know, Adobe updates Photoshop Elements yearly, and generally allow the Catalog from older versions to be converted to the current version. But I have no idea whether or not, the Catalog from Photoshop Album 2 can be converted.

I would call Adobe and ask that question. You might want to download/install the free trial version current version PSE 2018. What norm ally happens is that during installation, PSE 2018 discovers a Catalog from a previous version and converts it to the newly installed version. I have no idea if it will discover and be able to handle your Photoshop Album 2 Catalog. In any event trying this should not hurt your existing Catalog.

Good luck.
