Trouble Installing Alien Skin's Eye Candy 7

Explorer ,
Feb 09, 2024 Feb 09, 2024

I'm running macOS Ventura 13.6.4 and using Adobe Photoshop Elements 2023. I'm trying to install a trial of Eye Candy 7 but each time I create a test file in PE the Alien Skin filter fails to show up. I have installed the entire Alen Skin folder in the plug ins folder.

The test type has been 'simplyfied' in order to apply an Eye Candy effect but, as I said, the filter fails to show for selection.

I think I'm missing a step somewhere. Any chance someone can help me out before the trial period ends?

Is your Mac using an Intel or Apple Silicon Processor (M1, M2 or M3)?

You can find out by going to Apple>About This Mac

I did the below test install on a Intel macOS Catalina 10.15.7 system running Photoshop Elements 2021

I would first unistall Eye Candy by going to Applications/Exposure Software

then running the Eye Candy 7 Uninstaller.app

Next run the Eye Candy installer and in the screen that says Host Selection click on Custom Plug-in Location.

Then where it says Install Plug-In to, click Browse and set the path to /Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 2023/Support Files/Plug-Ins
