Twain for elements 19 and win-7 64-bit??

I cannot find the scanner in the program and it has something to do with having to transfer or download a twain file to the plug-in system. This has gone well with previous versions of the program and 32-bit system, but I now have win-7 64-bit and have trouble figuring this out.

Is there anyone here who has experience with this and can give me some help?

I have Canoscan 4200F and I called Canon support and they told me that they hadn´t made any updates for elements since 2015 for this scanner, so I had to search for any solution with Adobe. I can´t find the scanner in "import" on editor or organizer.

The work-around is to scan with the software that came with the scanner, save the file in a folder, then open the file in PSE and proceed.

What make and model scanner do you have?

There is no Twain for 64 bit windows applications, so no Twain plugin from adobe for pse 2019 since it's a 64 bit program.

In the pse 2019 Editor look under File>Import>WIA.

pertains specifically to photoshop, but most also applies to photoshop elements.

    Use the TWAIN scanner plug-in
