Unable to install imagenomic noiseware plugin PE 2018

I have a new laptop (Windows 10). I purchased PE 2018 and installed it. I have the Noiseware 8BF file on my desktop (Windows 7) with PE 8. I copied the 8BF file to the plugins folder on the laptop. When I tried to use it I got the message:

"one or more plugins is currently not available on your system. See help/system info"

I looked at system info but there is nothing helpful to me.

I also copied from the downloads on my desktop the file Noisewarestandard plugin setup 4110 to the laptop downloads and ran it. It ran and finished. I tried again to access the plugin and got the same message about "one or more etc."

What am I missing?

Thank you, Eva

The plugin from your pse 8 is 32 bit and pse 2018 requires 64 bit plugins, so that explains why the copied plugin didn't work.

First of all remove any Noiseware plugins from pse 2018, then go to Imagenomic, download a new installer and then follow the directions here to install.

    Thank you so much!!!

I downloaded the plug-in and installed successfully. Now a new problem. I have no idea where to find my license key. It's been a few years. I purchased in 2007. My Imagenomic plugin on my desktop lists a product ID: 9027-244A-4979-9F39. I tried using that but it failed. I suppose I will be asked to purchase anew.

Here is the reply from Imagenomic support center:

    "Eva,
The Adobe forum gurus were wrong as usual as there is no 64 bit version of Noiseware Standard plugin...it is 32 bit only and we don't market or actively support it any longer.
Also, we don't support Elements 18 with any of our plugins at this time. You could try Noiseware 5 plugin which is 64 bit but it may or may not work.
The Noiseware Standard keycode will not work in Noiseware 5 as they are 2 separate products. If you find that Noiseware 5 plugin is working for you in Elements 18 then sales could give you a coupon to upgrade from Noiseware Standard to Noiseware 5 for 20$.
    Regards,"

I think my best be is to keep Photoshop Elements 8 on my desktop. When I need the plugin I can copy the photo I'm working on from the laptop to the desktop and finish the work there when I have access to it.

Another reason for keeping my Photoshop Elements 8 on my desktop is to create PDF slideshows which I have been doing since the very first versions of PE. I think that option is no longer available on PE 2018.

Except for some gimmicks that I very likely would never use, I don't think PE 2018 has much to offer over PE 8.

    Thanks again for your help.

They may be right that your original Noiseware plugin that you installed in pse 8 was only 32 bit, but on the download page linked above it said there are free upgrades from older versions to newer Noiseware versions that do support 64 bit photoshop/pse.

Sorry your having such trouble with Noiseware support, but I can't find anywhere on their website where it says Noiseware standard license can't be upgraded, such as in the below web page about upgrading and it also explains how to recover your keycode.

What i can suggest is if you do get your original keycode is to install the newer Noiseware 5 and see if your keycode is accepted.
