Valid / yet Invalid serial number

My old computer is dead. I want to have Elements 12 on my new computer. I have it downloaded it, but it is saying the serial number I am trying to enter is invalid. I am literally looking at my serial number, as posted by Adobe in my download record. It s valid...

If PSE12 was an upgrade, you'll need to enter both the PSE12 serial number and the serial number of a prior version, which are hopefully both out on Adobe's site.

Otherwise, try copy/pasting the serial number from Adobe's site into the serial-number type-in box.
