When I load my pictures into Photoshop Elements only the JPeg version is recognised and not the RAW version

Good Afternoon, When I load my pictures into Photoshop Elements only the JPeg version is recognised and not the RAW version. Photoshop simply states that the file is broken? What do I need to do to overcome this please' I can see the RAW versions in camera so the RAW image has been taken  thanks Gordon

Hi ,I have Photoshop Elements 15, a Canon 6D MKll and I have tried the 3 versions od Raw offered in the camera ie straight RAW, M and S. The RAW pics load onto my Canon software which I have updated but again refuse to load when I try to edit them the sane as as it does with my Photoshop[ software
