Hello! I had a PSE7 and win 7 and this combo worked fine, then I upgraded my computer to win 10 and the troubles began. To make things not easier, I have a 32 bit system. I tought upgrading my PSE but the latest versions system requairement is 64 bit. Do I have any possibilities to upgrade or should I buy a new computer (I am not doing it)?

    Hi,

If you don't want to upgrade your computer, PSE 14 is the latest version that you can run. You may be able to buy a copy from some of the online outlets like Amazon.

PSE 7 should run on your PC  so perhaps if you detail the problems you are having, someone may be able to help.

    Hello!

Somehow I could not post this reply.

The problem is, that PSE7 opens normally, when I chose edit photos  option then everything goes grey, no menu bar, no side bars, some  desktop pieces are shown trough this grey, if I try to close the  program, the grey screen starts blinking and I have to kill it in Task  Manager. I unsinstalled the program, installed it again from  helpx.adobe.com, installed it, tried to run compatibility  troubleshooter, but maximum I got was grey screen with nonfuncional side  bar on the left. Does anybody has any suggetions?

    With best regards

    Jaana

    Hi Jaana,

I never did buy the version 7 so I can't get past the request for the serial number.

The type of problem that you describe maybe something to do with your graphics driver.

You say that you ran the compatibility trouble shooter, did it change any settings?

You could try going to the folder C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 7.0

    There, find the file PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe

Right click on the file and select properties

Select the Compatibility tab and tell it to run as under Windows 7

Hopefully someone else reading this might have run version 7 under windows 10
